I designed a float for Meta API (Asian Pacific Islander) float in San Francisco Chinese New Year Parade.

The San Francisco Chinese New Year Parade is the oldest and one of the largest events of its kind outside of Asia, and one of the largest Asian cultural events in North America. Meta has been a sponsor and participant since late 2010s.

My design pays homage to the traditional Chinese New Year celebration and is filled with symbols of fortune and luck: golden coin, red lantern, red envelope, ingot, firecracker, and the good luck 'Fu' sign. In the center, a light blue rabbit is greeting the viewers with a smile. The blue half-dome background symbolizes the universe and harmony. The golden ocean wave on the railings symbolizes water, which is the 'Wuxing' element of 2023.
